Hello, new friend!
As you may already know, my name is Kimberly Penrose, and I am the founder of Be Forever FITness, a uniquely personal approach to training. I meet you exactly where you are– sometimes literally!– and take you where you want to go, so you can fit your FITness into your life in ways that work for you.
So who am I, and why Be Forever FITness?
My passion for fitness started when I was small. You see, my mom was diagnosed with MS at the age of 32. I was 8 years old. If you know anything about Multiple Sclerosis, you know it’s a physically debilitating disease. Growing up and seeing her losing her capabilities was emotionally difficult for my family. I witnessed her getting struck with multiple effects such as loss of motor skills, extreme fatigue, depression, loss of appetite, loss of happiness in a short amount of time. As a small child, I would assist in helping her stand up or walk downstairs. We’d do her yoga video on a weekly basis to keep her moving and her blood circulating. I vowed to myself that I would make, and keep, the condition of my body a priority to help others. My mom needed me the most and I needed to be strong for her. Exercise gave my mom another chance to live her life and improve her spirits about herself and her ability to overcome a disease. This became the cornerstone of my mission: Fitness changes lives. And, I am an agent of that change, here to make it happen for YOU.
What exactly do I do?
I have lived the fit life since a young child in middle school. At the age of 12 I learned how to lift weights. Since then, I have surrounded myself in a healthy and active lifestyle. I have trained professionally and studied physical fitness for over 10 years and have shown countless people how they can improve their personal physical awareness, and I am excited to do the same for you. My roles have varied over time, and I really love that I have been a jack-of-all-trades in this industry before settling here; from front desk check in to large and small group instruction, from assistant management to department head to studio general manager, and now, as CEO and owner of BFF.
Just as we look at all the roles we have played that make us the people we are to our friends and family, my climb has truly prepared me to be a well-rounded trainer and advocate for health and fitness in every person.
I also used to teach Kindergarten, so my patience and acute observations with even the most careful beginner is well-tuned! I truly care about people, and I love that my clients become friends as we navigate goals together.
I pride myself on the fact that I am not your average trainer. I mix my programs to cater to your fitness goals and teach my clients to enjoy moving in unconventional ways. I have experience with HIIT, body resistance training, flexibility, self-care stretches, mind to body connection meditations, and body confidence, and I use these skills in each and every program (to varying degrees) in order to best meet individual client needs. I have and continue to successfully train in all environments and I love getting creative by using unlikely resources for workouts (like the pillars around a client’s pool, for example). I love coming to you!
